Ballet Legato is excited to host our first annual Legato Student Dance Festival for pre-professional dancers, studios and emerging student choreographers in Ohio and the surrounding areas!

The industry can be challenging and we hope to have a space where all styles of this art-form can be appreciated and celebrated! We hope this festival creates a pathway for performers, dance educators and aspiring student choreographers to share their works and network with their fellow artists! All styles welcome!
What is it?
- A dance festival welcoming pre-professional dancers, studios and aspiring student choreographers
- Studios may submit up to two works each totaling 3 min maximum
- $30 non-refundable submission fee per piece
- $100 scholarship awarded to one student choreographer!

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION
- Name of Studio
- Name of Choreographer or Student Choreographer
- Contact name, phone and email
- Number of Dancers
- Piece must be no more than 3 min in length
- Name of piece, if known
- Theme of piece, if known
- Example of work must be attached by YouTube link (include pass code if needed) or Vimeo.
- No more than 2 submission per group/ $30 PER submission (non-refundable)
- Props? Yes or no?
- Lighting will be in select colors only. Group is responsible for setting props on and off of stage
- Mandatory Video and photo package will be made available at $50 per studio
- Payment for for pieces must be post dated NO LATER than March 1st, 2026 to be accepted. Checks made payable to Ballet Legato and sent to 34453 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, OH 44039 att: Student Festival
